The purpose of this research was to analyze the impact of lending by fintech firms on the expansion of service- based companies in Jordan. The studys population included 210 service-based enterprises located in Jordan. The research used a sample size of 136 respondents from registered service-based enterprises in Jordan. The researchers used a structured questionnaire to gather data from the participants. The data acquired in this study were evaluated using a combination of basic percentage calculations and Pearson product moment analysis. The research has reached the conclusion that the lending activities of Fintech firms have a noteworthy impact on the expansion of service-based companies in Jordan. The study suggests that it would be advantageous for the Fintech service provider to engage in advertising efforts aimed at promoting their services, with the goal of increasing the adoption of their mobile money product among a wider range of business professionals. This would lead to an increased number of entrepreneurs using Fintech as a means to augment the expansion of their businesses. The scope of the research was limited to a small number of service-based organizations. However, it is important to include other service-based companies that were not included in this study. To get a comprehensive understanding, a comparison study should be conducted to explore other characteristics that were not addressed in the current research. The field of financial technology (fintech) has seen significant growth in recent years. This growth can be measured by the degree of utilization observed in various fintech applications and services

Supply chain integration (SCI) is a strategic process management technique that may be used to boost an organizations performance and thereby gain a competitive edge. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate both the direct effect of (SCI) on manufacturing firms operational performance and the moderating effect of knowledge management (KM) on the relationship between supplier integration (SI), customer integration (CI), internal integration (II), and operational performance (OP). The study analyzed survey data from 277 Jordanian manufacturing and industrial businesses using the PLS–Structural Equation method. According to the data, (CI), (II), and (SI) are all positively and significantly associated with operational success. (CI), (II), and (SI) all have a strong and beneficial moderate relationship with (OP). There is, however, no connection between (KM) and (OP). Furthermore, further research may be conducted to assess the applicability of the findings from this study to other populations of varied sizes in other countries. A long-term study that tracks the growth of different measures might provide further insight on the relationship between SCI and OP

The Role of Business Intelligence adoption as a Mediator of Big Data Analytics in the Management of Outsourced Reverse Supply Chain Operations

The fluctuating and disorganized state of todays global markets is the result of several factors. COVID-19 is an illustration. Supply chain managers should re-evaluate their competitive strategy and leverage big data analytics in light of the rising volatility in demand and supply, rivalry among supply chain partners, and the requirement to deliver tailored goods and services (BDA). Supply chain firms require sophisticated BDA processes and procedures to provide useful insights from big data to better decision-making and supply chain operations, as many leaders in the sector have acknowledged the necessity for improving with data (SCO). This research gives theoretical justification for the influence that BDA has on SCO

Why Not Dipyridamole: a Review of Current Guidelines and Re-evaluation of Utility in the Modern Era

    No full text
Dipyridamole is an old anti-platelet and coronary vasodilator agent that inhibits platelet phosphodiesterase and increases interstitial adenosine levels. Its use in coronary artery disease (CAD) has fallen out of practice in the modern era with the advent of new anti-platelet agents, and most modern guidelines on the management of CAD either neglect to comment on its utility or outright recommend against it. The majority of the studies used in these guidelines are outdated and took place in an era when high doses of aspirin were used and statins were not widely utilized. There is growing evidence in rat models of dipyridamole’s synergy with statins through adenosine modulation resulting in significant myocardial protection against ischemia–reperfusion injury and limitation of infract size. The data in human studies are limited but show a similar potential synergy between dipyridamole and statins. It would thus be prudent to reconsider the recommendations against the use of dipyridamole in CAD and to re-evaluate its possible role and potential benefits through well-designed randomized trials combining it with statins, low-dose aspirin, and/or other anti-platelet agents

FinTech Adoption in SMEs and Bank Credit Supplies: A Study on Manufacturing SMEs

    No full text
Bank lending to SMEs plays a vital role in economic growth, contributing significantly to employment and GDP. Access to bank lending is crucial for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as they contribute significantly to global employment and GDP. New financial technologies promise better bank operations, fewer costs, and enhanced credit supply to SMEs. However, there is still a lack of empirical findings on how these technologies can solve demand-side bank lending problems for small- and medium-sized firms. This study gathered data from a sample of 381 respondents, comprising CEOs, managers, officers, loan managers, IT consultants, and other relevant stakeholders. The findings indicate that the adoption of blockchain technologies, as well as the adoption of Big Data technologies encompassing cloud computing, data analytics, algorithms, and programming, along with the adoption of mobile banking technologies, have had a substantial positive impact on bank credit supplies for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan. This novel study contributes to existing knowledge in two ways. First, it provides knowledge to SMEs looking to adopt new technologies; second, it provides knowledge to a manager looking to finance the SMEs with information asymmetries. This research also provides key findings for researchers and policymakers
